What makes a good website?
The answer is, it depends. Who are you trying to reach and what do you want them to do once you lure them to your site?
As a general rule, we prefer sites which are clean in design with an easy to use interface. We think the design elements should engage not distract, even when the design is in your face.
The navigation should easily lead visitors to the big payoff, whatever that is, with a minimum number of clicks. Spinning graphics don't sell your product, but ease of use coupled with a complementary design will.
And you can't just design for humans. You've also got to design for search engine performance with consideration for relevance, keyword density and bot friendly code.
It's not an easy job but we really like getting dirty with the details.
